‘Salaam Mumbai’ to be screened at Indian cinemas

Indo-Iranian ‘Salaam Mumbai’ is to be featured in India in May.

Indo-Iranian hit ‘Salaam Mumbai’ with Hindi language voice acting has been scheduled to hit the big screen in India

The flick will start its international screenings from Indian cinema theaters on May 27.

The process of recording the Indian dubbing for ‘Salaam Mumbai’ was started about one week ago, the director Qorban Mohammadpour said.

His movie has been on the big screen in Iran for a while, achieving enormous sales in the country.

Veteran Iranian voice actor Changiz Jalilvand was in charge of dubbing the movie into Persian which went on Iranian screens late January.

Indian actress Dia Mirza who stars in the movie has been a popular figure in India Cinema.

‘Salaam Mumbai’ narrates the love story of a well-off Indian girl meeting an Iranian medicine student in Mumbai. As the story unfolds they both run into some complications along the way.  

Early on, Mohammadpour said at a news conference that he is set to make a sequel to ‘Salaam Mumbai’.

Some other cast members of the movie include Indian movie star Mohammad-Reza Golzar, Dalip Tahil, Simran Mishrikoti and Shaili Mahmoudi.
